Each year, Trisco holds a fundraising competition for the United Way as part of its “Restore You! Wellness @ Work” program. Employees are divided into teams, and the team with the highest pledge amount wins a prize. The total pledge amount is then matched by the Company, as well as a personal match by the owners, Brian and Steve Walter. This year, the Company decided to direct these funds to tornado relief efforts by donating them to the United Way of Logan County through the United Way of Greater Lima.
In the wake of the EF-3 tornado, Brian Walter, a resident of Orchard Island at Indian Lake has been intimately involved in the cleanup, specifically at the Our Lady of Fatima Shrine. Steve Walter serves on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Greater Lima. As part of its corporate wellness program, Trisco employees participate yearly on the United Way Day of Caring. Typically the entire office staff volunteers for the entire day.
